Special Salmon Steaks & Thousand
Island Dressing
Ingredients
- 2 (8 ounce) salmon steaks
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 green onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
Directions
- Place salmon in a lightly greased 8-in. square
baking dish. Top with butter and lemon juice. Combine onion, parsley,
garlic salt and lemon pepper; sprinkle over salmon. Bake, uncovered, at
400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING
1 c. mayonnaise
1/3 c. ketchup
1/4 c. pickle relish
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1 hard cooked egg, chopped
1/3 c. ketchup
1/4 c. pickle relish
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1 hard cooked egg, chopped
Mix
all ingredients together well. Cover and chill. Makes 2 cups.
To
make Russian Dressing add some chili sauce to the Island dressing
Tuna with Black Pepper recipe
Ingredients:
¼ cup of fresh lemon juice.
¼ cup of fresh lime juice.
¼ teaspoon of salt.
1 ¼ lb tuna steaks.
1 tablespoon of cracked black pepper.
¼ cup of fresh lime juice.
¼ teaspoon of salt.
1 ¼ lb tuna steaks.
1 tablespoon of cracked black pepper.
Preparation Instructions:
1. Mix the lemon juice, lime juice and salt in flat dish .2. Place the tuna in dish and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes, turning occasionally.
3. Remove the tuna from marinade. Coat each side of the fish with pepper, pressing to make sure pepper sticks.
4. Broil for 4 to 6 minutes per side or until fish is cooked.
